Close your eyes, the wind of time blew the night into sparkling waves.
The light is not ostentatious.
Some are longing to revisit the scenery they once stopped for.
Some are longing to meet someone who could stand by each side.
Some people want billions of gold to be able to share happiness with their partners.
Some lights are wishes to relieve the discomfort of family members who are sick.
Some light is who no longer doubts about love.
Some light is when someone no longer complains about their past.
Open your eyes,
The light is not ostentatious, only the warmth when time blows through your body.
The light flow of Hsinchu has been shining in the wind over years, from the old Raden and Glass craftsmanship time, to the global technology center today.
The wind of the work came from the metal sheets installed outside of the building. It is powered by the wind, like the visual when the wind blew at the old Hsinchu craftsmanship "bamboo strips”. As for the light of the work, it came from the local atmospheric data of real time, and transformed it into light flow. It will also change temporarily on the hour at night. Those light flow switches came from the spark of secret wishes when people look back to their wind-like life.
Light The Wind and it‘s scenery light will accompany Hsinchu, along with the silver waves of September winds.

DING Chien-Chung, born in Taipei in 1983, finished his graduate degree in the department of New Media Art in National Taipei University of the Arts. As a usual material in creating, “light” constructs the context and axis of the work, and echoes the relationship between memory and perception of the space in which located. He was selected in FILE 2014 in São Paulo, MADE in TAIWAN - Young Artist Discovery in ART TAIPEI, and also was honored in TAIPEI ARTS AWARD in Taiwan. His works were exhibited in Taiwan and around the world.
